Transgender people experience high levels of discrimination and may have had significant negative experiences in healthcare settings. This may lead to them avoiding attending health services, and can impact their ability to access quality healthcare. Trans-specific health services are rare, and most trans people will access health care mainly in the primary care setting.

Dr Melissa Kelly is an Infectious Diseases and Sexual Health specialist at The Albion Centre. She will provide a thorough overview of quality primary care provision to transgender and gender diverse people.
