In case you missed it, after an intense campaigning marathon by the NSW ProChoice Alliance ( that represents the joint action of 30+ NGOs) to decriminalize Abortion in NSW.

In October, the 119-year-old old abortion law act was updated. A summary of the reformed law can be found at

- What does it mean for you and your patient? Better access to pregnancy choice services since now a medical practitioner may perform a termination on a woman who is not more than 22 weeks pregnant provided that informed consent is given.

This session will be delivered by Dr. Emma Boulton the Founder and Director of Clinic 66. We will cover the available suitable methods of termination of pregnancy in a community setting and the new laws around the topic. We will also discuss the referral pathways available.

On the same occasion, the PASHNET Annual General Meeting will be held. You are strongly encouraged to attend and share your voice/opinion about the education events this year and for next year.
